Scott Zeller, PA-C
Scott Zeller grew up in Boston, Massachusetts, and received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Colby College, a small liberal arts school in Maine. After college, Scott did a 2-year stint in teaching and coaching, before working in clinical research at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston in asthma and preventive medicine. From there, he moved down to North Carolina to attend Duke University’s PA program. After PA school, Scott began his career as a Family Medicine PA at a community health center in downtown Durham before joining the team at Avance.
Scott is passionate about primary care and was drawn to the continuity of care and the relationships that are formed between patient and provider. He has specific interests in global health, men’s health, preventive medicine, and tobacco treatment. Scott is fluent in Spanish and loves working with Spanish-speaking patients.
Scott lives in Raleigh with his wonderful fiancée, Sameera, where they stay busy and enjoy being active. He thrives off of physical challenges, and has been fortunate enough to have participated in several marathons even recently completing his first half Ironman triathlon. When he’s not training, Scott loves traveling, cooking, spending quality time with family and friends, hiking, kayaking, and white-water rafting.
