Samantha Savage, FNP-C
Samantha Savage is a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania and then received her master’s degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Practitioner Savage has 14 years’ experience as a registered nurse and clinical leader in both the NICU at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC and the NICU and Newborn Nursery at WakeMed. After obtaining her master’s degree, Practitioner Savage shifted her focus from neonates to patients across the lifespan; where she worked as a primary care provider in home-based care model providing preventive care and chronic disease management to patients in their homes, particularly the elderly. Practitioner Savage is passionate about disease prevention and believes that healthy lifestyle and disease process education empowers patients to make informed decisions and enables them to be self-advocates for their health. She also believes in establishing relationships and connecting with her patients in order to provide individualized, personal care.
Practitioner Savage enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Together, they love to travel and spend time outdoors hiking and biking. Practitioner Savage is also an avid runner and runs several marathons each year.
