Lorie loves caring for and connecting with patients, and genuinely believes holistic wellness is the single most important factor for a good life. Given this belief, she has been driven to continually grow her knowledge base, and obtain a vast clinical skill set in both the outpatient and inpatient care settings, and telemedicine. In the last decade she has practiced primary care across the lifespan, and adult and geriatric medicine in multiple settings. These settings include skilled nursing and rehab facilities, long term acute care hospitals, and both community and academic hospitals, including practice in cardiovascular intensive care. In the last several years, she spent most of her time practicing hospitalist medicine while also serving as the chief practitioner of the Department of Medicine at Ruby Memorial Hospital, an academic center in Morgantown, WV offering tertiary and quaternary care.
In her personal time, she enjoys walks with her dog, hiking, spending time on the lake, reading and traveling. She relocated to North Carolina to enjoy the sunshine and outdoor activities the state has to offer with her family and friends!
