LaShea Young, PA-C
LaShea Young is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant. She received her undergraduate degree in biology at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. After graduating, she worked as a histology laboratory technician and histology laboratory supervisor before pursuing a career as a physician assistant. Physician Assistant Young received her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Towson University in Towson, MD. While at Towson University, she was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society and received the Physician Assistant Outstanding Student award for her academic achievements.
Physician Assistant Young began her career providing primary care in medically underserved areas in North Carolina, where she also participated in community health outreach events. She enjoys that working in primary care allows her to treat the whole patient. She recognizes the importance of building trusting relationships with her patients and utilizes that to customize a plan of care. Her practice interests include preventative care, chronic disease management, and dermatologic conditions.
Physician Assistant Young grew up in Pell City, Alabama. During her time off, she enjoys traveling, exercising, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys hiking, ziplining, and exploring new cuisines.
