Kathryn Cassellius is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She completed her Master of Science degree in food and nutritional sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wisconsin, followed by her dietetic internship.
Most recently, Kathryn worked as a clinical dietitian and clinical nutrition manager at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. In her role, she provided outpatient nutrition counseling, and saw patients for weight and diabetes management, heart disease and gastrointestinal conditions. After working at Mercy Hospital for about five years, Kathryn moved to North Carolina and now is excited to pursue her true passion of working one-on-one with patients to help them achieve their goals by improving health as it relates to quality of life. She believes in working with patients to find a nutrition plan that works with their lifestyle by helping set realistic goals. She specifically has a passion for working with patients with diabetes, which stems from her personal experience of living with type 1 diabetes since the age of 13. This experience allows Kathryn to build strong connections with patients and helps her empathize and offer encouragement.
In her free time, Kathryn enjoys cooking, baking, running, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoys staying active outside and going hiking with her husband, Jacob.
