Kari Husmann is a Primary Care Provider and board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Avance Primary Care in Morrisville, North Carolina.
Kari was a National Health Corps Scholarship recipient and graduated Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
She completed her undergraduate degree in Biology and Spanish at UC Davis, including spending a year in Costa Rica during that time. She attended Vanderbilt University for her master’s degree in nursing. Upon graduating in 2000, she began her career by providing care to migrant farmworkers and their families along the central coast of California. Since then, she has worked in Women’s Health Clinics in Santa Cruz, CA where she enjoyed caring for women of all ages and their children.
In 2006, Kari relocated with her husband and two young children to Chapel Hill, NC. After taking some time off to settle her family, she worked in a family practice in Sanford, NC. She comes to Avance Care excited about working in a new community. Kari is fluent in Spanish.
Both Kari and her husband are very active in sports, from running to triathlons. She enjoys spending time with her children, volunteering in their classrooms, and traveling.
