She has experience providing care for a variety of age groups. Her main area of interest is the mind, body, and spiritual connection pertaining to their relationship and role in one’s health and healing. Practitioner Shields’s style of practice can be traditional (prescribing up-to-date medications) or alternative (recommending natural treatments including but not limited to vitamins, supplements, lifestyle modification – diet, exercise; etc.) She believes that we should be treated with all our body systems in mind, as our bodies are not merely a series of parts to be treated exclusively. She utilizes a person-centered approach to provide quality compassionate, culturally sensitive, evidence-based care.
Practitioner Shields was born and raised in Raleigh, NC. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, gardening, planting flowers, going to concerts, amusement parks, and being outdoors with her dog and family.
