Eric Kelly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Eric attended Hunter College, which is part of the City University Colleges of New York (CUNY), where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology. Eric then earned his Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has a diverse clinical background, having provided outpatient therapy, intensive in-home, and multisystemic therapy (MST) for adults, adolescents, and families with a wide range of mental health diagnoses. He has also provided mental health services and community-based support to adults and children with traumatic brain injuries and learning/vocational difficulties.
Eric believes that by engaging in therapy, individuals can reconnect to their innate strengths to achieve their most desirable life outcomes. Eric utilizes solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) techniques to decrease mental health symptoms such as anxiety, depression, behavioral and emotional difficulties, poor self-esteem, poor stress management, relationship conflict, and family dysfunction. He is also trained in trauma-informed care modalities to assist children, adolescents, and adults in overcoming past traumatic experiences, such as sexual abuse.
Eric is originally from The Bronx, New York, a borough of New York City. He enjoys spending time with close friends and family at the coast and travelling to the mountains, caring for his pets, playing music, and attending live performances.
