Amanda Thompson, FNP-C
Practitioner Thompson is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Practitioner Thompson obtained her undergraduate degree in nursing at Lewis Clark State College in Lewiston, ID and worked as a staff nurse at Cone Health Wesley Long Hospital on the cardiac telemetry floor. There, she developed a passion for educating patients about their chronic conditions and ways to stay healthy and out of the hospital.
Practitioner Thompson graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing from University of South Alabama and worked as a family nurse practitioner at Novant Health Chair City Family Medicine in Thomasville, NC. Practitioner Thompson has a passion for taking care of patients across the lifespan. She enjoys focusing on preventative medicine, improving life with chronic conditions, and patient education.
In her free time, Practitioner Thompson enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs out and about in the beautiful North Carolina outdoors, running, hiking and boating. She also loves to play ice hockey, read books, cook, and cross-stitch.
