Tabita Tavoc, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant and Primary Care Provider with Avance Care in Midtown Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to becoming a PA, Tabita enjoyed a successful career as a dental hygienist and educator. After losing someone special to cancer, Tabita felt a calling to join the medical profession. She was trained as a physician assistant at Duke University. Her experience as a PA includes oncology, internal medicine, and primary/urgent care.
Tabita enjoys getting to know her patients on an individual basis and creating a relationship that fosters trust and respect. She enjoys primary care, as it offers the ability to provide continuity of care. Given her background in academia, Tabita is passionate about patient education and believes that the way to good health is through preventive medicine.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. A few of her hobbies include hiking, kayaking, and biking.
