Dr. Patel is a board-certified Family Physician who grew up in Buffalo, NY. She received her physician assistant degree from Daemen College. Upon graduation, she worked as a family practice physician assistant for a year before moving to Erie, PA where she obtained her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then moved to Wilmington, NC with her husband and completed her Family Medicine residency in 2010 as chief resident.
Dr. Patel started her practice in Southampton, NY where she worked as a Family Physician for two years. She then spent the next three years in Virginia as a family physician prior to moving to North Carolina.
Dr. Patel is experienced in acute care as well as continuity of care. Her interests include management of chronic diseases, preventive services for all ages, minor procedures, and osteopathic manipulation. Dr. Patel enjoys treating diverse patients of all ages.
Dr. Patel and her husband have children. They enjoy traveling, staying physically fit, and spending time with family.
