Meet the Team

Steven Prakken, MD

Dr. Steven Prakken is the Director of the Medical Pain Service. He was previously the director of Medical Pain Service at Duke and is a nationally recognized expert in medical management of pain with over 30 years of clinical experience and Certification in Pain Medicine and Psychiatry. He has worked closely with the Pain Society of the Carolinas and North Carolina Medical Board in educational efforts around chronic pain management.
