Chocolate Peppermint Overnight Oats

Nutrition Fact: Oats are rich in soluble fiber, which may help reduce the risk for cardiovascular disease. The extra fiber, in combination with the protein and healthy fats in the chia seeds, will help you feel satisfied all morning long. Mix these chocolate peppermint oats up before bed and you have breakfast ready-to-go for those busy mornings!

Soak time: about 8 hours
Makes 1 serving
Ingredients
1/3 cup rolled oats
½ tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tbsp. chia seeds
Tiny dash salt
½ ripe banana
½ cup non-fat milk
Drop of peppermint extract

Directions:
Combine all ingredients in an air-tight jar or container. Place in fridge and allow liquid to be absorbed several hours or overnight. Heat in microwave, if desired, 1 minute before eating.
